The Workshop Controller will be responsible for coordinating and managing all daily workshop operations whilst ensuring maximum productivity, efficient workflow, and exceptional customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for maintaining the highest standards of service and repair quality.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the allocation and progress of repair and maintenance work within the workshop.
- Ensure technicians adhere to job cards, repair times, and quality standards.
- Monitor productivity, efficiency, and turnaround times to meet workshop performance targets.
- Liaise between the service advisors and technicians to ensure accurate communication and job progress updates.
- Conduct regular quality checks on completed work before vehicle handover.
- Support and mentor technicians and apprentices to promote skill development and high standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and manufacturer standards.
- Manage warranty and internal repair processes efficiently.
- 3+ years of experience as a Workshop Controller, Senior Technician, or similar role in a dealership environment.
- Proven understanding of workshop systems, productivity targets, and quality standards.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Computer literacy (automotive DMS systems advantageous).
- Valid drivers license and own transport.
- Technical qualification or trade test (Motor Mechanic) essential.
