Sales Engineer - FMS
A leading automation and fuel management solutions provider is seeking an experienced FMS Sales Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting, selling, and supporting specialised products and services to key end-users and distributors across South Africa.
This role is ideal for a commercially driven sales professional with extensive mining industry exposure, strong business development capabilities, and the ability to manage complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders. The successful incumbent will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market share, and building lasting relationships with key decision-makers within the mining industry.
Education:
- National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
- Postgraduate qualification advantageous
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum 6 years' sales experience within the mining industryProven business development experience within mining environments
- Strong network and established contacts within the South African mining industry
- Experience managing complex B2B sales processes and long sales cycles Proven experience compiling technical and commercial proposals
- Experience engaging stakeholders at all levels of customer organisations
- Exposure to instrumentation equipment and systems
- Experience with fuel management systems advantageous
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAGE
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout South Africa
