Mechanical Engineer / Technologist (NC)

Key Responsibilities:

• Form part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
• Mechanical/Industrial engineering modelling work in Revit/Plant3D/Other software
• Mechanical engineering calculations (i.e., hydraulic calculations, system curves, pump selection, load calculations, etc.)
• Project administration (i.e., minutes, project schedules, payment certificates, etc.)
• Siteworks (i.e., supervising, site instructions, etc.)

Key Requirements:

• B.Eng / B.Tech (mechanical/mechatronic/industrial)
• Minimum 5+ years relevant practical experience in a design office/consulting firm environment
• Relevant 2+ years of post-qualification working experience on site
• Experience in pipeline and pump station design, refrigeration design, process design, and agri-processing would be an advantage
• Good communication skills verbally and in writing in English and Afrikaans.
• The candidate must have goals; must be self-driven and continually grow in taking responsibility and accountability for work tasks;
• Software skills in Autodesk REVIT / AutoCAD would be an advantage
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player, but also able to work independently and to meet deadlines
• Valid drivers license
• Medically fit and prepared to work on construction sites as may be required
• To be based or willing to relocate to Springbok
