Senior Software Engineer (Mobile)

Job Description:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work within cross-functional agile teams, partnering with developers, designers, product managers, and technical leaders to deliver exceptional mobile experiences.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building and maintaining mobile applications using Flutter
• Developing scalable, clean, and efficient code
• Collaborating with designers and product teams to deliver new features and enhance existing functionality
• Ensuring applications are optimised for performance, stability, and user experience
• Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving technical challenges
• Mentoring and guiding intermediate and junior software engineers
• Participating in code reviews and driving engineering best practices
• Working closely with UI, frontend, backend, and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Contributing to Agile ceremonies including planning sessions, stand-ups, and delivery reviews
• Performing unit and integration testing
• Championing software craftsmanship and Test-Driven Development principles
• Keeping abreast of emerging technologies, frameworks, and development trends

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5+ years of mobile application development experience
• Strong experience with Flutter, Dart, and related technologies
• Proven experience developing mobile applications for both iOS and Android
• Experience with Bloc/Cubit or similar state management frameworks
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web technologies
• Solid knowledge of software engineering principles and the full SDLC
• Experience working within Agile development environments
• Ability to mentor and influence engineering teams
• Passion for building quality software and delivering excellent user experiences
• An interest in gaming and digital products would be advantageous

Qualification:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience will be advantageous.
• Demonstrated commercial experience in mobile software development is essential.
