JOB PURPOSE (ROLE CONTEXT) This role is responsible for the overall planning, organisation, and service control of area within designated scope of responsibilities to ensure SLAs are executed efficiently, on time and within budget and standards.
The Operations Manager will drive to leverage operational best practices enabled through appropriate technology for all business processes and delivering best-in-class operational performance providing operational advice and guidance to sites and projects in terms of legislative and operational processes and procedures
Minimum requirements:
❑ Minimum 5 10 years HVAC Industry / Service Experience ❑ Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs ❑ Experience leading, motivating and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance ❑ Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment ❑ Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies
❑ Adherence to SLA and contractual terms of service. Qualifications ❑ Relevant Diploma/Degree in Business Management/Project Management in appropriate field of study ❑ Red Seal Trade Refrigeration Trade Certificate ❑ Safe Handling Practitioner Certificate ❑ Drivers Licence Knowledge ❑ Mechanical Basic knowledge of machines and tools.❑ Repairing Basic repairs and assisting with repairs as per the task list. ❑ Intermediate level of proficiency with Excel ❑ Intermediate Financial Knowledge ❑ Knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations management ❑ Technical knowledge is essential in knowledge of models and unit capabilities ❑ Sound knowledge of company Safety, Health and Environmental policies, including The Occupational Health and Safety Act ❑ Sound knowledge of all statutory and legislated Health, Safety and Environmental policies, regulations and standards
❑ Ability to clearly communication between Admin teams, Technical Teams, Senior Management and Supervisors Skills / Qualities ❑ Developing budges ❑ Excellent communications skills

KPA1 Manage Area of Responsibilities
Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management team
Monitor staff performance and complete performance reviews
Deliver appropriate and effective management level communication
Continue professional development in order to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best prices
KPA 2 Manage Operational Systems and Processes
Adhere to the relevant provisions of the: OHSAct (including, but not limited to Sect 8,9,13-15,17-19) General Administrative Regulation 5
Conduct monthly audits on the various areas of responsibility, submit audit reports to management and act on non-compliances and deviations
Compile monthly reports and submit to management
Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
KPA 3 Process Management
Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of support services through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions
Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences Ensuring that service reports are correct and service work has been done
KPA 4 Promote stakeholder relationships, benchmarking and share best practices
Support formal/informal schedules to manage the engagement contract
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise teams and reporting subordinates
Proven success in providing on site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
Liaise with clients/contractors on a regular basis to meet and exceed service expectations
Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
Supervise and coach the Site Managers/Supervisors Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices. Assist customers with any technical queries via telephone or e-mail
KPA 5 Manage financial and fiscal processes
Regular meetings with the Operations Executive/KAM around fiscal planning
Act as an internal quality control check for the project
Manage on-going quality control and participate in quality issue resolution
Define the Statement of Work and Specifications for the requested goods and services
