Sales Executive

Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for FMCG and a strong understanding of the retail landscape? A leading global brand in the premium consumer goods sector is looking for a Sales Executive to join their team in Gauteng.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a world-renowned company that prides itself on quality, innovation, and performance. As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for driving revenue, building key customer relationships, executing in-store excellence, and delivering results across top national retailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Plan and execute an effective weekly call cycle (8+ quality calls per day)
- Conduct pre-call preparation, store visits, and ensure shelf health and compliance
- Place orders, manage stock rotation, update pricing and merchandising
- Build strong in-store relationships with Store and Regional Managers
- Negotiate displays, promotions, and increased shelf space
- Review promotional performance using IRI and internal sales tools
- Supervise and support merchandisers; report store performance and compliance
- Provide regular sales reports, insights, and action plans for underperforming areas
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in FMCG field sales
- Experience managing or calling on major retail accounts (Woolworths, Pick n Pay, Checkers, Dischem, Clicks, Spar, Makro)
- Strong project management, planning, and negotiation skills
- Highly motivated, confident, and target-driven
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in sales technology, reporting, and data-driven sales planning
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant diploma or degree advantageous
