Veterinary Receptionist (must have experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage appointments on a computerised booking system and keep the diary running on time.
  • Update client/patient records accurately after each interaction.
  • Invoice and take payment for consultations, treatments and prescribed medication.
  • Assist over the counter with basic, non-prescription pet care products.
  • Support retail sales and process transactions.
  • Receive and count stock; capture deliveries onto the practice system.
  • Handle calls and emails promptly.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a veterinary practice is essential
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans
  • Strong organisation, time management, and multitasking ability in a busy, client-facing environment.
  • An empathetic manner and calm professionalism under pressure.

Working hours: MonFri 10h00 to 17h30 and Alternate Sat mornings 09:0012:00
