Join a dynamic Finance Operations team responsible for the financial controls across a LISP, Life Company, CIS Manco, and retirement funds. This permanent position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to operational excellence and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-paced financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as an authorised releaser of local and international payments.
- Review bank reconciliations and assist in resolving reconciling items.
- Review Manco unit reconciliations and help resolve any differences.
- Escalate concerns or potential issues to the FinOps Team Leader.
- Perform AML reviews received from fund managers and the management company.
- Oversee tax reporting, including reviewing PAYE reconciliations and ensuring tax submissions to SARS.
- Resolve day-to-day operational queries effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers.
- Support audit processes and resolve audit queries within set deadlines.
- Stay abreast of developments in industry, legislation, and best practices to grow your professional expertise.
Qualifications & Experience:
- BCom Honours or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in financial services, ideally in financial operations within a LISP or Manco.
- Strong understanding of financial systems, data structures, and investment products.
- Experience working with reconciliations, tax submissions, and AML compliance.
