To manage and oversee the legal, compliance and contract management functions as well as ensure organisational compliance to legislation. Responsible for drafting, negotiating, structuring, vetting, interpreting, executing, and/or administering contractual documents.

- Develop and update the standard lease agreements used by the company/fund.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Contract vetting and negotiation with a variety of SLAs
- Leading the rental collections and legal handover function
- Ensure that the property managers are in possession of- and use- the correct lease template.
- Remain abreast of changes and advances in South African property law (including legislation and case law) to provide contemporaneous legal advice to management and co-workers.
- Develop systems and procedures for administering and tracking legal undertakings to meet deadlines.
- Quality control of all legal documents.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to management on all legal issues.
- Provide expert legal advice as to the construction of all agreements and especially agreements of lease and associated agreements.
- Instructing attorneys on legal matters.
- Research and analyze legal issues and advise management on the legal implications of their decisions.
- Provide expert advice to the Property Manager, Asset Manager and other stakeholders
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution matters.
- Manage relations with our panel of attorneys.
- Managing all the companys intellectual property such as lease agreements, suretyships etc.
- Manage the Legal Intern, Filing clerk and Legal Administrator
- Reporting: Pre-legal reports, Legal Reports
- Matric.
- BA LLB or B Proc.
- Admitted Attorney with a minimum 5 years post admission experience.
- Experience in business law, property management, lease and other agreements, and other related areas.
- Knowledge of debt collection legislation and regulations.
- Strong legal research skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and deliver results.
- Able to make full use of Microsoft Office, MDA programmers and related. Apps.
- Planning, Organising and Time Management.
- Excellent problem solving.
- Experience in Property Practitioners Act, Companies Act, Rental Housing Act, Deeds Registry Act, Electronic Deeds Registration Systems Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Consumer Protection Act, Protection of Personal Information Act, Financial Intelligence Act, Value Added Tax Act, National Credit Act, Debt Collections Act, Magistrate Court Act, National Energy Act.
