Mechanical Design Engineer (Engineering / Manufacturing)

Key Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to discuss new product development and technical requirements.
- Develop 3D CAD designs and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Manage product development and lifecycle from concept through to production.
- Oversee prototype development, testing and assembly.
- Manage project timelines, resources and budgets.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, suppliers and production teams.
- Prepare technical reports, design specifications and operating manuals.
- Design assembly jigs and pass/fail gauges.
- Provide technical input and support to manufacturing.
- B-Eng / BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years mechanical design experience.
- SolidWorks experience is essential.
- Valve and/or pneumatic experience will be an advantage.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and time-management abilities.
- Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
- Able to meet deadlines.
