Sales Manager | Durban
This is a functional leadership position at a middle-management level.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and Grow the Network: Manage and grow new business volumes by recruiting and onboarding new financial advisors, both new to the industry and new to company.
Drive Sales and Revenue: Develop and implement tactical plans to achieve sales targets by identifying new markets and demographics.
Ensure Compliance and Governance: Act as a custodian of culture and ensure continuous compliance with FAIS and related legislation. In partnership with the Advice Manager, implement risk management and governance policies within the practice.
Mentor and Motivate: Provide ongoing motivation, communication, and inspiration to advisors to create a high-performance environment. Champion a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
Client Management: Manage and grow existing client portfolios through upselling and cross-selling, with a focus on long-term client retention.
Qualifications and Experience
A relevant bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or a related field recognized by the FSCA is required.
RE5 certification is essential and RE1 is required within six months.- 5 years of experience in the retail financial services industry is preferred.
Proven track record in sales management and the recruitment of financial advisors is a distinct advantage.
In-depth industry knowledge and adequate experience in risk and investment FSCA categories are required.
