The Role: HR Officer
The HR Officer exists to manage the full employee lifecycle and ensure the organization remains compliant with all South African labor legislation and reporting requirements. This position focuses on driving recruitment, facilitating performance management, and overseeing complex administrative tasks such as BBBEE and SETA reporting.The role also carries unique responsibilities involving injury-on-duty claims management for specialized personnel and overseeing fleet-related maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize 3-5 years of experience to manage the full recruitment lifecycle from advertising and screening to onboarding and employee exit interviews.
- Ensure strict compliance with Employment Equity, BBBEE, POPIA, and all South African labor legislation.
- Lead disciplinary processes, grievance handling, workplace investigations, and represent the organization at the CCMA.
- Coordinate performance management processes and facilitate induction programs for new staff.
- Prepare and submit mandatory reporting for BBBEE, Employment Equity, and SETA skills development.
- Administer COIDA and IOD claims on the Compeasy system while liaising with medical professionals for staff and players.
- Maintain HR systems, manage leave administration, and support weekly and monthly payroll processes.
- Oversee fleet-related responsibilities including vehicle checks and maintenance scheduling to uphold brand reputation.
- 3-5 years of experience in a human resource management role.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management.
- Strong knowledge of South African labor legislation and employee relations.
- Proficient in HR systems such as HR Premier and ESS, along with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- High level of professionalism with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently, multitask, and use initiative under pressure.
- Strong administration and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
