Our client, a trusted leader in the logistics and shipping sector, is looking for a highly skilled Financial Accountant to oversee the full finance function and contribute to the organisations continued success. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with strong technical and analytical skills to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced environment.

• Full financial function: Manage Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, bookkeeping to trial balance, and present monthly management accounts
• Reporting and analysis: Prepare monthly management reports, perform variance analysis, and deliver budget versus actual insights
• Payroll and compliance: Oversee payroll reviews, process journals, manage VAT reconciliations and submissions
• Audit and controls: Prepare audit files, liaise with auditors, and maintain robust financial controls
• Cash and asset management: Manage fixed asset register, review cashbooks, and oversee bank transactions
• Business support: Assist with budgeting, cost management, financial investigations, and general administrative duties including drafting agreements

• BCom Honours in Accounting
• 3 to 5 years relevant work experience
• Proven track record within the logistics and shipping industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Skilled in communicating financial insights to management and supporting strategic decision-making
