Supply Chain Manager
A leading chemical company based in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join their team. As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
This is a crucial role that will require strong leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and minimize costs
• Manage procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management
• Oversee inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels
• Coordinate logistics and distribution, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
• Monitor and analyze supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and improve customer satisfaction
• Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Manage and develop a team of supply chain professionals
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices
Requirements
• Relevant degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Supply Chain Manager or similar role in the chemical industry
• Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices
• Experience in procurement, inventory management, and logistics
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
