In the role of a Portfolio Monitoring and Valuations Specialist, you will have a significant impact on the organisation's investment valuation process. Your responsibilities will include preparing schedules and analysis to support Portfolio Committee meetings.
You will also collaborate with Fund Accountants to ensure precise cash flow and valuation reporting. Moreover, you will contribute to quarterly update presentations for investors by providing relevant inputs. A crucial aspect of your job will involve analyzing the factors that contribute to value creation in our investments.
What you'll do:Manage the quarterly investment valuation process including communications with investment teams, provision of valuation templates, review and challenge of proposed assumptions, central modelling of fund outcomesPrepare schedules and analysis to support the Portfolio Committee meetingsManage the external auditors of each Fund to assist in their annual audit of the valuationsLiaise with Fund Accountants ensuring accuracy of the cash flows and valuation reportingPreparation of inputs to the quarterly update presentation for investorsAnalysis of sources of value creation by investment What you bring:University degree or post graduate qualification is advantageousCharted Accountant / CFA or equivalent qualification is requiredMinimum 4-10 years' experience in Professional Services or Alternative Investments / Financial ServicesBusiness valuation expertise is essentialExpertise in analysing data and presenting clear, concise summaries is necessaryExcellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English is mandatoryWhat sets this company apart:This firm is a leading global alternative investment manager with a focus on private equity, secondaries, and credit.
