Senior HR Officer

Hire Resolve's client in the engineering industry is seeking a Senior HR Officer to join their team in Johannesburg. The Senior HR Officer will be responsible for overseeing all HR activities within the company, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations, and supporting the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
This role requires strong knowledge of the engineering industry and the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:

 •  Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company objectives and are in compliance with labor laws and regulations
 •  Oversee the full cycle of recruitment and selection process, including job postings, screening, interviews, and candidate selection
 •  Coordinate and conduct employee onboarding and orientation programs
 •  Manage employee relations, including handling grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance management
 •  Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
 •  Administer employee benefits and payroll processes
 •  Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and performance
 •  Maintain accurate employee records and HR database

Requirements
 •  Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
 •  At least 5 years of experience in an HR role within the engineering industry
 •  Thorough knowledge of labor laws and regulations
 •  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
 •  Strong organizational and time management abilities
 •  Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
 •  Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
 •  Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
 •  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 •  Professional certification in HR is a plus
