Hire Resolve's client, a leading Construction Company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in Johannesburg. As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee all the financial activities of the business. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, and implementing effective internal controls.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting, preferably within the construction industry, and possess excellent leadership and communication skills
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze financial statements
• Manage general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Coordinate and assist in month-end and year-end close procedures
• Prepare and review budget and forecasting reports
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes
• Supervise and lead a team of accounting professionals
Requirements
• ACCA/CIMA/BICA Qualified or Degree in Accounting & Finance
• Part ACCA/CIMA qualified
• BICA Registered
• 5–10 years of experience, preferably in the construction field
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
