Hire Resolve is partnering with a well-established mining company in KwaZulu-Natal to find a Mine Closure and Rehabilitation specialist. As the Mine Closure and Rehabilitation Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the closure and rehabilitation of mining sites in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement mine closure plans and strategies.
• Coordinate and manage the closure and rehabilitation activities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental standards.
• Monitor and assess the progress and effectiveness of closure and rehabilitation efforts.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth transition and handover of reclaimed land.
• Prepare reports and documentation related to mine closure and rehabilitation.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mine closure and rehabilitation, preferably in the mining industry.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in mine closure and rehabilitation.
• Strong project management and coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
• Professional certifications or memberships in related fields are advantageous.
Benefits
• Salary: R750K-R950K per year
• Family Responsibility Leave (if applicable)
