Diesel Mechanic - Mining Industry
Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic for their client in the Mining Industry. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel-powered equipment used in mining operations.
As a Diesel Mechanic in the Mining Industry, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of mining equipment. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of machinery, diagnose and troubleshoot issues, and perform necessary repairs and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel-powered mining equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in a timely manner
• Replace faulty parts as needed
• Ensure efficient operation of machinery to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure effective workflow
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
Requirements
• Grade 12
• N2 Certificate in Engineering (Diesel Mechanic)
• Diesel Mechanic Trade Test Certificate
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a diesel mechanic, in the mining industry
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and related components
• Experience in the following Machienery:
• Komatsu PC4000, PC5500, WA1200
• Liebherr 9200, R996B
• Caterpillar 994F, 740B, 745C
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Valid driver's license
Benefits
• Salary: R750k-R950K per year
