Field Services Technician/Trainer

Salary: R35,000 basic + Benefits. R45,000 Total Cost to Company

We are seeking a technically strong Field Services Technician who has Operator Trainer experience. Must have heavy hydraulics and auto electrical systems, specifically within ports and harbour equipment environments.

This role is ideal for an experienced ex-field service technician who has grown into a training and operator development function.

• Minimum 3 years experience in:
• Heavy hydraulics systems
• Auto electrical fault-finding and repair
• Proven experience working on ports/harbour equipment (non-negotiable)
• Field service technician background highly advantageous
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
• Experience working on heavy mobile or industrial equipment
• Valid drivers licence
• Willing to travel locally if required

• Train and assess operators on specialised port/harbour equipment
• Deliver structured technical and operational training sessions
• Translate field knowledge into practical operator guidance
• Support safe and correct equipment usage
• Assist with skills evaluations and competency sign-offs
• Work closely with technical and operations teams to improve operator performance
• Maintain training records and reports
