About the role:
The Marketing, Sales & Events Administrator plays a vital role within Signa Opportunity by coordinating and supporting the organisations marketing, sales lead administration, events, lead generation, and brand visibility initiatives. The role is responsible for supporting business growth through marketing coordination, sales administration, digital engagement, event planning, client engagement, and host partner support.

The incumbent will assist with maintaining relationships with prospective and existing clients while supporting lead generation and sales coordination activities across the business. Reporting to the Business Growth Manager, the incumbent will support the Business Growth, KAM, Hosting, Recruitment, Workplace, functions through the implementation of marketing campaigns, corporate branding

alignment, stakeholder engagement, social media coordination, sales support administration, and reporting. The role also includes maintaining marketing platforms, databases, CRM systems, and the intranet, ensuring that all content, images, files, documentation, and sales information remain current, compliant, and aligned to corporate identity standards.

Responsibilities:

Marketing, Sales & Host Functionality Coordination
  • Assist the marketing and sales department with operational initiatives as required.
  • Support the Business Growth team with sales administration and lead coordination.
  • Assist with generating, tracking, and following up on leads.
  • Coordinate and maintain CRM updates and sales pipeline reporting.
  • Prepare sales presentations, quotations, proposals, and supporting documents where required.
  • Support relationship management activities with clients and host partners.
  • Assist in identifying new business opportunities and prospective host partners.
  • Compile reports relating to market research, competitor analysis, and campaign performance.
  • Distribute newsletters via CRM systems.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and updated mailing lists.
  • Maintain employee and client databases in support of Signa Group IT.
  • Coordinate and prepare portal content, updates, photos, and images relating to SOY events.
  • Coordinate and prepare content, consent forms, photos, and images for SOY "Power of One" stories.
  • Plan and facilitate SOY events, career fairs, and host partner visits.
  • Support the identification of new host partners through social media and networking initiatives.
  • Distribute marketing material and campaign content.
  • Coordinate the preparation and ordering of printed marketing collateral.
  • Liaise with designers, developers, printers, suppliers, and external service providers.
  • Coordinate and schedule radio interviews, TV interviews, social media interviews, and related meeting invitations.
  • Create reports and maintain excellent client service standards.
  • Manage and maintain the Marketing RDMS Cloud.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new marketing team members on systems, platforms, and collateral.
Corporate Identity & Branding
  • Implement, align, and roll out SOYs corporate identity standards.
  • Ensure quality control across all marketing channels and platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with approved corporate templates and branding guidelines.
  • Maintain updated branded collateral on the RDMS Cloud and Portal in support of the Company IT.
Content Development (Copywriting & Editing)
  • Develop content for project-specific campaigns.
  • Develop and schedule social media content.
  • Develop newsletter content for employees and clients.
  • Develop marketing collateral, company profiles, brochures, and promotional material.
  • Develop content for websites, digital platforms, webinars, and online campaigns.
  • Review, proofread, edit, and quality-check all marketing copy and communication.
Marketing Research
  • Collaborate with the Insights & Marketing Enablement Officer on target market and audience research projects.
  • Conduct project-specific and company-related research.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments.
  • Research content relevant to campaigns, communication, and brand positioning.
Hosting Coordination & Planning
  • Assist with planning and coordination of host identification initiatives in partnership with the Host Coordinator.
  • Coordinate new host partner introduction sessions.
  • Plan and coordinate host-related webinars.
  • Attend partner visits where required.
  • Assist with onboarding of new candidates within SOY.
  • Attend industry summits and networking events to identify potential host partners.
Digital, Social Media & Sales Support
  • Assist in developing and implementing digital and social media campaigns.
  • Regularly update content across social media platforms, websites, and portals.
  • Monitor online publicity, competitor platforms, and digital engagement trends.
  • Identify internal and external marketing opportunities.
  • Compile monthly reports on social media, website performance, lead generation, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Support SLA management, reporting, and daily coordination activities.
  • Assist to source new hosting partners to support client hosting requirements/ ad-hoc responsibility
  • Collaborate with team members and support departmental performance objectives.

Background Information

The Marketing & Events Coordinator will:

  • Work within the Learning Entities Marketing Department (AIM, SAC, and SOY).
  • Coordinate activities and support all areas of sales & marketing .
  • Take ownership and accountability for allocated projects.
  • Attend meetings and events outside of the office when required.
  • Perform administrative, research, and content development tasks.
  • Support digital, social media, broadcast, print, and community marketing initiatives.
  • Attend Career Fairs with Hire learning Institutions.
Minimum Requirements
  • South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
  • Must not have participated on the YES Programme before.
  • Matric.
  • Diploma in Marketing, Branding, Communications, or Business related qualification.
  • Intermediate computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
