Electrical Project Engineer

Pretoria, Gauteng

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full project lifecycle, from kick-off to FAT and final handover
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules aligned to client deliverables
• Review and manage electrical drawings, revisions and documentation control
• Compile project databooks and quality documentation for inspections and FAT
• Coordinate and lead site teams, including technicians and apprentices
• Manage procurement processes, including supplier engagement and order approvals
• Track budgets, monitor scope changes and manage ECR processes
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams to ensure that project milestones are achieved
• Provide structured progress updates to senior stakeholders

Minimum Requirements:

• NDip, BTech or BEng in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering (essential)
• 35 years experience in an electrical project or industrial automation environment
• Experience with project scheduling, documentation and drawing control
• Proven ability to manage and coordinate technical teams on site
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Advantageous:

• Experience in the FMCG or Food & Beverage environment
• Exposure to PLCs, control systems or E&I
• Experience with Eplan or similar electrical design software
• International project exposure
