Junior Paraplanner | Cape Town

Primary Location: Cape Town (Western Cape) co-working space during probation, transitioning to hybrid/flexible thereafter

Key Responsibilities

The Junior Paraplanner will provide essential support across three core areas:

1. Advisor Administrative Support

• Process and submit investment and life assurance applications (including work with platforms such as Allan Gray).
• Perform accurate data capturing and maintain up-to-date client records in CRM systems.
• Manage general administrative tasks related to client investment and assurance portfolios.

1. Paraplanning Support

• Prepare clear, accurate comparisons of life assurance policies for advisors to review.
• Assist advisors in drafting professional advice emails and supporting documentation.
• Conduct basic Excel-based financial analysis and calculations.

1. Client Servicing

• Handle straightforward client queries confidently and courteously over the telephone.
• Maintain friendly, professional relationships with clients during routine interactions.

• Proven competence in administrative work related to investments and/or life assurances.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a precise, thorough approach to all tasks.
• Very strong computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and CRM platforms.
• Solid grasp of basic financial mathematics Kanan Wealth will not provide extensive training in this area.
• Comfortable and confident speaking directly with clients on the phone in a professional yet approachable manner.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with little ongoing supervision.
• No FAIS qualification is required this is not an advisory or representative role.

• Employment Type: Full-time (initially based in a co-working space during probation Cape Town location preferred).
• Probation Period: 36 months. On successful completion, the role moves to hybrid with flexible working arrangements.
• Remuneration: Up to R30,000 per month (based on experience and demonstrated capability).
