Payroll Manager - Tokai

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related field (non-negotiable)
  • Minimum 10 years experience in payroll management
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with SAGE 300 (non-negotiable)
  • Experience managing payroll for at least 500 employees
  • Must reside in or near the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town (non-negotiable)
  • Proficiency in Excel formulas (non-negotiable)

Responsibilities:

  • Process monthly payroll changes including new hires, terminations, commissions
  • Manage payroll runs for salaried, hourly, and commission-based employees
  • Perform reconciliations and generate costing/variance reports in Excel
  • Submit statutory payments (PAYE, UIF, Workmens Compensation)
  • Maintain robust payroll policies, procedures, and controls
  • Liaise with SAGE consultants on system-related issues
  • Work closely with the Financial Director on bank and general ledger reconciliations
  • Resolve payroll queries and escalate when necessary
  • Manage payroll-related administration and documentation
  • Coordinate with Medical Aid and Group Life service providers
  • Assist with audit processes and provide payroll information as needed
