Senior Accountant

A reputable company within the construction industry, based in Centurion, is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to manage the full financial function. The role is suited to a technically strong accountant with proven experience in BuildSmart, who is comfortable working in a deadline-driven, operational environment and taking responsibility from GL through to financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full financial function (FFF) from general ledger to financial statements
• General ledger processing, trial balance, and reconciliations
• Month-end close and financial reporting
• Balance sheet and account reconciliations
• Managing creditors, debtors, and invoicing processes
• Ensuring accuracy, compliance, and internal controls
• Supporting operational finance and management reporting

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Qualification: BCom
• Experience: 35 years accounting experience
• Industry: Construction industry experience advantageous
• Systems: BuildSmart experience is essential
• Technical: Strong exposure to FFF (GL, recons, TB, up to FS)
