Senior Technical Delivery Lead (Markets Division)

What you will be doing:

• Lead the end-to-end planning, coordination, delivery, and governance of IT projects and initiatives.
• Drive delivery across multiple technology teams and stakeholders to facilitate decisions and achieve agreed solutions.
• Coordinate the integration of complex technology components and applications.
• Identify and drive the closure of architecture gaps and facilitate resolution of outstanding technical matters.
• Develop supporting position papers and recommendations for complex architectural and technical decisions.
• Manage innovation initiatives, business-as-usual projects, and work requests within agreed scope, budget, and timelines.
• Monitor project progress, identify delays and risks, and provide regular delivery updates.
• Prepare weekly and monthly project reports, dashboards, and management information.
• Ensure project execution follows established methodologies, governance frameworks, and project disciplines.
• Manage escalated project issues, delivery conflicts, dependencies, and integration matters.
• Ensure end-to-end solutions align with enterprise architecture roadmaps and technology strategies.
• Act as the key liaison between supported applications, technology teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage risks, audit findings, dependencies, and remediation activities.
• Support application health, stability, maintenance, and operational readiness.
• Ensure adherence to IT change, release, and implementation governance.
• Facilitate prioritisation and planning sessions across technical and business teams.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and technology partners.
• Navigate complex stakeholder environments to drive decisions, close outstanding actions, and ensure timely delivery.
• Provide expert technical and project delivery advice to business and technology stakeholders.

What we are looking for:

• Advanced Diploma, National Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Professional Qualification, or Honours Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Matric and a relevant tertiary qualification.
• 1015 years' experience in an IT environment across multiple IT disciplines.
• Proven experience as a Technical Delivery Lead, Technical Project Manager, or in a technical management role.
• Experience managing complex technology projects and support environments.
• Strong understanding of technical architecture, APIs, SQL, and banking applications.
• Experience working across complex integration environments.
• Strong project management and delivery governance experience.
• Knowledge of ITIL, SDLC, change management, and IT service management principles.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk, and controls.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of financial services environments.
• Proven ability to facilitate decisions and drive delivery across multiple teams.
• Strong planning, prioritisation, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver within strict timelines.

Advantageous:

• MMP or equivalent qualification.
• ITSM / ITIL certification.
• Experience within banking or financial markets.
• Experience working with complex banking applications and technology integration.
