APPRENTICE MILLWRIGHT - 3-YEAR TRAINING PROGRAMME

• Location: Germiston, Gauteng
• Monthly Stipend: R4,500 - R5,500

Essential Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics and Physical Science
• OR Technical N2/N3 qualification with relevant trade subjects

Experience & Knowledge Required:

• Mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities
• Reading technical drawings and schematics
• Strong safety awareness

Technical Skills:

• Basic computer literacy - Microsoft Office
• Basic understanding of maintenance and workshop systems (advantageous)
• Exposure to PLC/HMI systems (advantageous)
• Combine technical knowledge with practical problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist qualified Millwrights with electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks
• Participate in practical workplace training and theoretical learning
• Assist with fault-finding, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections under supervision
• Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Ensure work complies with company safety standards
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe working practices
• Assist with installations, modifications, and maintenance of equipment
• Complete training logs and maintenance documentation
• Work effectively within team environment
• Attend training sessions, assessments, and development activities
