Forklift Operator

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading trucks safely
• Moving pallets and stock around the warehouse
• Stacking products in storage racks or cold rooms
• Transporting raw materials and finished goods to production areas
• Checking stock quantities and updating inventory systems
• Picking and preparing orders for dispatch
• Inspecting forklifts before and after shifts
• Reporting mechanical faults or safety hazards
• Following warehouse safety and hygiene rules
• Keeping loading and storage areas clean

Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Valid forklift or reach truck licence/certificate
• 1-2 years forklift operating experience
• Warehouse or cold storage experience
• Ability to load and offload stock safely
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and overtime
• Physically fit and able to work in cold environments
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic numeracy and stock handling skills
• Ability to complete forklift inspection checklists
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
