Hotel Accountant

A well-established organisation within the hospitality sector is seeking to appoint a Hotel Accountant to join their finance team based in Menlyn. This opportunity offers exposure to a high-performing environment where operational excellence, financial accuracy, and service delivery are highly valued.

This role is ideally suited to a finance professional with hospitality or property industry exposure who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and taking ownership of financial and administrative processes.

The appointed individual will work closely with operational departments, supporting business performance through effective financial controls, reporting, and process management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily financial and administrative functions within the property
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial reporting and reconciliations
• Support month-end processes and reporting requirements
• Monitor stock processes and stock take controls
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense management
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company procedures
• Liaise with operational departments to support financial efficiency
• Maintain accurate records and support audit requirements

Job Experience & Qualifications:

• BCom Accounting
• Articles beneficial
• 5-8 years experience in a similar accounting role
• Hospitality or property industry experience is advantageous
• Stock take experience beneficial
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
