Role's Purpose:
As the System Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and software. Your efforts will directly contribute to the organizations stability, security, and compliance, especially in support of ISO 27001 DevOps activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, applications, and core networking infrastructure (routers, switches, and firewalls)
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve outages
- Perform regular backups and manage disaster recovery procedures
- Administer user accounts, software licenses, and access controls
- Enforce IT security policies and assist with audits and documentation
- Provide end-user desktop support and respond to internal IT queries
- Set-up and maintain hardware/software for new employees
- Support ISO 27001-related compliance efforts
- Participate in after-hours standby rotation and address urgent issues
- Research and recommend new technologies aligned with business needs
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Certification: RedHat or LPI (essential)
- Experience: 2+ years in Linux system administration
- Technical Knowledge: Networking fundamentals, server hardware, and rack systems
- Tools: Office 365 administration proficiency
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills
- High level of accountability, adaptability, and time management
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Strong awareness of IT security risks and best practices
