Our established client in Johannesburg is looking for a proactive and technically sound Systems Administrator to join their IT team. Reporting directly to the IT Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing core infrastructure systems.
This includes managing servers, ensuring system security, and supporting end-user operations across the business.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- A relevant Degree in Information Technology or a related field (required)
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certification (required)
- ITIL Foundation certification (required)
- 45 years of experience in systems administration or a similar role
- Solid experience with Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and user support
- Strong knowledge of system monitoring, backup solutions, and patch management
- Firewall certification or experience working with firewalls will be advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
