Financial Manager

A leading school in Pietermaritzburg is seeking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function and contribute at both a strategic and operational level.

You will be responsible for managing the full financial function, ensuring the financial health of the organisation, and providing strategic financial insight to senior management and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full finance function, including reporting and compliance
• Prepare and present monthly management accounts
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Oversee cash flow and working capital
• Drive financial controls and process improvements
• Manage debtors, collections, and financial sustainability
• Lead and develop the finance team
• Support audits, risk management, and statutory compliance
• Provide strategic financial input to leadership

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Accounting Degree + SAICA Articles (essential)
• CA(SA) advantageous
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Finance Management role
• Strong experience in management accounts, budgeting, and reporting
• Proficiency in Pastel Accounting and advanced Excel
• Proven leadership and team management experience
