Logistics Coordinator

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator with a minimum of two years experience in freight forwarding or logistics to oversee day-to-day export operations and ensure seamless shipment processing.

• Attend client and operations planning meetings to align on shipment requirements
• Provide customers with shipping options, routes, stack dates, ETDs and ETAs
• Prepare and issue accurate quotations and rate confirmations, liaising with the commercial team for ad hoc rates
• Create and distribute Q67 documents to PPECB, shipping lines, pack stores, customers, and intermodal teams
• Capture and verify booking confirmations, freight contracts and operational data (container numbers, product details, temperature settings) in the LCL system
• Coordinate with intermodal and shipping line partners on amendments, equipment or depot issues
• Obtain and share packing lists, commercial invoices and other supporting documents with the documentation controller
• Manage deadlines and communicate incidental charges to customers, securing written acceptance

• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective verbal and written communication to manage internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work under pressure and meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel
• Fast learner with the ability to adopt new systems and processes quickly
• Flexibility for after-hours support when required
• Minimum of 2 years export-focused freight forwarding or logistics coordination experience
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and support a team across multiple functions

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent (essential)
• Diploma in Shipping, Clearing & Freight Forwarding, Logistics Management or related field (preferred)
