Roles and Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Manage internal & external driver training programmes
- Manage all administrative function related to driver training
- Plan and execute training schedules at various depots
- Ensure all drivers are fully competent prior to entering the field
- Develop electronic training material and videos
- Manage and development of driver performance
- Reporting on Training and Assessments conducted
- Conduct site and route assessments
- Create Power Point Presentations for drivers
- Travel with drivers for on route assessments/training
- Travel to different depots outside of your region for training purposes
- Manage Lytx Driver Management platform to identify training needs
- Allocate LMS Training based on individual training needs identified
- Attend and conduct Toolbox Talks with drivers
- Action driver coaching and corrective action
- Manage all driver training and development (self-drive & carrier work)
- Minimum Gr. 12
- Computer literacy
- Previous Training experience will be advantageous
- Medically fit
- Ability to work with technology Driver assessments done via an electronic platform
- Valid Code EC License with PrDP
- Experience in the transport industry will be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills - both verbally and writing
- Sound general mechanical knowledge of trucks & trailers
- Must have own transport
- Assessor Certificate
- Moderator Certificate
- Facilitator Certificate
- Minimum of 3 years long distance HCV driving experience
- Extensive geographical knowledge
