Assistant Financial Controller

A well-established company within the hospitality industry is looking for an Assistant Financial Controller to join their finance team.

This role will work closely with the Financial Controller and will serve as their right-hand support across the finance function. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with financial operations, managing a team, and ensuring smooth day-to-day financial processes.

The environment requires someone who is proactive, energetic, able to take initiative, and capable of managing responsibilities independently while also contributing positively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Financial Controller with the full finance function
• Support financial reporting and month-end processes
• Oversee and manage finance team members
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Support operational and strategic financial functions
• Work collaboratively with various departments within the business

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related qualification
• Minimum of 35 years experience
• Hospitality industry experience is essential
• Previous team management experience
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Energetic and driven personality
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
