Senior Credit Controller

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and results-driven Senior Credit Controller to join a dynamic finance team.

This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage collections, customer relationships, credit risk, and debtors processes while ensuring exceptional service delivery.

This role is based in Sandton.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end debtors invoicing process and ensure accurate distribution of invoices to clients.
• Oversee the preparation and distribution of debtor statements.
• Proactively follow up on outstanding accounts and ensure timely collections.
• Monitor and manage debtor ageing reports, ensuring accounts remain current and within agreed credit terms.
• Identify and escalate high-risk accounts and potential bad debts.
• Review and approve new customer credit applications and facilities.
• Process and review online payments, credit card refunds, and EFT refunds.
• Maintain accurate debtor records and create new customer accounts on the financial system.
• Resolve customer account queries efficiently and professionally.
• Prepare and analyze Accounts Receivable ageing reports for management.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
• Assist with ad hoc finance and credit control duties as required.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• BCom Degree, Diploma, or similar Finance/Accounting qualification.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Credit Control, Debtors, or Accounts Receivable role.
• Previous experience in a senior-level credit control position is essential.
• Shared Services environment experience will be advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working on Sage Evolution is preferred.
• Protel experience will be advantageous.
