Project Engineer

Theyre looking for a Solar Project Engineer to lead and support the engineering design, execution, and commissioning of UTILITY-scale Solar PV & BESS projects (commercial, industrial, agriculture and utility scale). If youre passionate about renewable energy and thrive on solving complex engineering challenges, then we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- ð§ Design and optimize solar PV systems using tools like PVsyst, Helioscope, and AutoCAD
- ð Perform technical feasibility studies and yield analysis
- ð Develop and review single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring layouts, and construction drawings
- ð ï¸ Support procurement and construction teams with technical input
- ð Ensure compliance with applicable standards (NRS, IEC, and SANS)
- ð Monitor project timelines, risks, and deliverables
- ð¤ Collaborate with clients, EPCs, and utility stakeholders during all project phases
Requirements:
- â Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering
- â 35 years' experience in solar PV project design or engineering
- â Proficient in PV design software (PVsyst, AutoCAD, etc.)
- â Knowledge of grid-tied and hybrid systems
- â Strong project coordination and problem-solving skills
- â Valid driver's license (advantageous for site visits)
