Senior Creditors Clerk

Location: Cape Town CBD
Company: Dynamic Import & Export Company

A successful and well-established Import and Export company based in Cape Town CBD is seeking an energetic and experienced Senior Creditors Clerk to join its stable and successful Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

Creditors Management
  • Full creditors function and account management.
  • Perform creditor account reconciliations accurately and timeously.
  • Verify quantities and pricing on supplier invoices against project costing.
  • Prepare and process creditor payments.
  • Manage both local (Rand) and foreign currency transactions.
  • Prepare and submit documentation required for foreign currency payments.
  • Monitor creditor payment terms and ensure adherence to payment deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate supplier records and supporting documentation.
Supplier & Internal Liaison
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve account and invoice queries.
  • Work closely with the Logistics team to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Build and maintain positive supplier relationships.
Sage Processing & Reporting
  • Capture and process transactions on Sage Evolution.
  • Generate and analyse creditor-related reports.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Journals & Reconciliations
  • Process creditor and debtor journal entries.
  • Perform debtor and creditor match-offs.
  • Assist with month-end creditor reconciliations and reporting requirements.

Requirements

Experience & Technical Skills
  • Proven experience in a senior creditors/accounts payable role.
  • Experience dealing with foreign currency transactions and imports.
  • Strong reconciliation and accounts payable skills.
  • Proficient in Sage Evolution Version 10.1.3.11.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and creditor processes.
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting would be an advantage. Â
