Overview

A leading organisation within the distribution and contract logistics sector is seeking a high-performing Business Development Executive to drive growth and expand market share. This is a strategic role suited to a commercially strong individual with a proven ability to secure new business and build long-term client relationships.

Role Purpose

To actively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within distribution and contract logistics, while developing a sustainable sales pipeline and contributing to long-term revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and secure new clients within logistics, warehousing, and distribution
  • Build and manage a strong, qualified sales pipeline
  • Drive revenue growth aligned with business strategy
  • Lead RFQ/RFP processes and commercial negotiations
  • Develop tailored logistics solutions for clients
  • Expand services within existing client accounts (upselling & cross-selling)
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure solution feasibility
  • Strengthen presence in key sectors (manufacturing, retail, agriculture, etc.)
Minimum Requirements
  • Proven track record in business development / sales within logistics or supply chain
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Experience in contract logistics, distribution, or freight solutions
  • Ability to manage long sales cycles and complex deals
