A well-established business based in Johannesburg North is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a qualified accountant who has completed articles and has at least one year of post-article experience.
Recruitment Consultant
The position offers exposure to the full accounting function with a strong focus on compliance and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full accounting function including processing, reconciliations, month-end, and reporting
- Drafting of Annual Financial Statements (AFS)
- Tax compliance and submissions
- BBBEE reporting (advantageous)
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiencies
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- BCom degree (completed)
- Completed articles
- 1+ year post-articles experience
- Experience drafting AFS (essential)
- Tax and BBBEE exposure advantageous
- Strong Excel and accounting system skills
- Hands-on, accurate, and deadline-driven
