Desktop technician - pietermaritzburg

RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced DESKTOP TECHNICIAN for a large concern, position based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade 12.

Relevant qualification/s. Certification in N+, A+ and/or Microsoft packages.

Valid Code 08 drivers license / own reliable vehicle.

Competent computer literacy (MS Office, Email / Internet).

+4yrs experience working in similar position. +2yrs Desktop Support experience with 50+ users.

Installation, configuring and troubleshooting Windows 10/11.

Install, configure and troubleshoot Office and M365.

Understanding of cloud computing basics and hybrid environments.

Configure and support exchange online mailboxes including online archiving, mail security, PSTs (Experience with Barracuda or Mimecast and advantage).

Configure and install AntiVirus with basic security principles knowledge (Identify weaknesses, exposure, threats Phishing, Malware, Ransomware etc).

Basic Azure AD / Windows Server Active Directory and ADSI.

Knowledge of setup and troubleshooting Network and OneDrive shares.

Basic Sharepoint design, support, maintenance and troubleshooting (MS Flow/Forms and PowerApps a bonus).

Basic PC repairs.

Basic network knowledge (switches, firewalls, WIFI, and cabling).

Install, troubleshooting network printers.

Strong administration and research skills.
