Pietermaritzburg | Office-Based | Half-Day Position

A well-established business is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper & Payroll Administrator to manage the full bookkeeping and payroll function on a half-day basis.

This role is ideal for a structured, detail-driven finance professional who can work independently and take ownership of financial administration while supporting directors with accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts for directors
  • Assisting with Annual Financial Statements preparation for auditors
  • Full processing and reconciliation of all bank accounts
  • Managing Debtors and Creditors reconciliations
  • Calculation and submission of VAT reconciliations and returns
  • Processing and maintaining monthly payroll
  • Maintaining and updating general ledger accounts
  • Managing company petty cash
  • Maintaining asset registers for audit purposes
  • Providing financial and administrative support to directors
Minimum Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper with Payroll responsibility
  • Strong reconciliation and financial reporting experience
  • Experience preparing management accounts
  • Solid VAT knowledge and submission experience
  • Payroll processing experience
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity
