Our client is a manufacturer of aluminium, brass and zinc castings.

Job Description

Design the process flow for new and existing product lines including the following:

• Process Flow Charts
• SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
• WIs (Work Instructions)
• Tool/Data Sheets
• Bill of Materials
• Design tools, jigs & fixtures for new and existing product lines using a combination of 2D & 3D CAD
• Generate all CNC Programs as required

Identify and initiate opportunities for continuous improvement in the following criteria:

• Alternative materials/methods of manufacture
• Improve material yield (weight reduction)
• Lean process improvements
• Re- Engineering
• Raise innovations to document improvements.

Industrialize new and existing product lines including the following:

• Oversee tooling manufacture
• Optimise tooling on 1st Off sample run implementation
• Optimise process on 1st Off production run

• Grade 12 or a Technical N3
• NTS 2 to NTS 6 or equivalent
• Tool and Die Maker (other technical trades will be considered)

• Knowledge of extrusion process equipment and the manufacturing and design of Extrusion Dies
• Must have the aptitude to understand the PDC Product range. (Added advantage)
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using VISI 3D CAD Software.
• Working knowledge of 2D drafting software, such as AutoCAD or NanoCAD
