Digital Marketing Assistant

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing digital content, scheduling social media posts, assisting with basic photography, and supporting marketing campaigns. Graphic design experience is a plus, though not required.
Key Responsibilities:Digital Content Management:
- Update and maintain website content (e.g., product descriptions, banners, images) for accuracy and brand consistency.
- Support content uploads and management across various digital platforms.
Social Media Management:
- Schedule, post, and track content on social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
- Help create and curate content that reflects the brands voice and goals.
Photography and Visual Content:
- Capture high-quality photos of products, in-store displays, and events for digital use.
- Assist in filming content for social media platforms, particularly TikTok.
- Support the creation of engaging reels and videos that align with our brands personality.
Email Marketing:
- Assist in designing and executing targeted email marketing campaigns.
Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to implement campaigns and promotions.
- Contribute ideas to creative strategies and concepts.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance to optimize results.
General Support:
- Stay informed on digital marketing and social media trends to propose fresh ideas.
- Provide administrative support for marketing projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Matric
- Relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous
- Is highly organized and an effective communicator.
- Has experience in digital marketing, social media, or content creation (experience level flexible)
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Meta Business Suite, YouTube, TikTok).
- Knowledge of email marketing software (Klaviyo experience is a plus).
- Experience with Shopify is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of video editing software.
- Graphic design skills (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva) are a bonus but not required.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Awareness of social media and digital marketing best practices.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant work is a plus.
