Fleet Controller

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Grade 12
• National Diploma in Operations Management/Fleet Management/Logistics and Supply Chain
• 3 Years experience in a similar role
• People management experience
• Experience in working as part of supply chain team
• Advanced Fleet and transport knowledge

Duties include:

• Assist in compiling of fleet policy, and act as custodian thereof
• Manage acquisition process and definition of appropriate vehicles
• Manage fleet disposal process
• Compile budget TCO calculations and monitor performance thereof
• Assist in defining control systems for Fuel, maintenance and tyre management
• Manage control processes iro fuel, maintenance and tyre management.
• Manage all service providers relating to Fleet related purchases
• Manage all pre-defined exceptions with regard Fleet management
• Managing of license renewals and COFS
• Create and managing control system for vehicle maintenance and monitor controls
• Accident/Incident management
• Custodian of internal fleet master CPK, and managing exceptions
• Monthly reporting on fleet costs

• Assist in compiling of outsourced transport policy and definition of Transporter Service Level Agreement
• Selection and vetting of transport service providers
• Reviewing of supplier rates and benchmarking against market
• Analysis and reporting of outsource vs insource costs
• Analysis and reporting of delivery route profitability
• Analysis and reporting of customer cost to serve
• Monthly reporting on outsourced transport cost x branch
