Trailer Mechanic/ Technician - Richards Bay

A career opportunity exists at RTG TECHNICAL SERVICES, RICHARDS BAY for the position of:

TRAILER TECHNICIAN

Job Summary (not limited to):

• Carry out services to trailers daily, as per the OEM specifications, in addition to running repairs that will come in from time to time.
• Attend to breakdowns on the trailers when required.
• Inspection of trailers before/after work is performed, also carry out quality checks daily (known as 15-minute checks)
• Completion of job cards with correct information as per the job instruction issued.
• Maintain a high level of technical serviceability of the trailer section by quality work and preventative maintenance in conjunction with the ISO standard.
• Responsible for timely prioritization of all operational requests, recognizing technical deficiencies, and implementing effective solutions in conjunction with the Workshop Manager.

Requirement:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in this specific field.
• Must have welding experience
• Valid drivers license (applicants without a drivers license will not be considered)
• Own vehicle required to travel from home to work.
• Must reside in the RICHARDS BAY area
• Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans
