Automation Engineer

As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimisation of automated control systems within a fast-paced industrial environment. Youll play a key role in improving production efficiency, reducing downtime, and driving digital transformation initiatives.

This is a highly technical role where your expertise in automation will directly influence plant performance, process consistency, and operational scalability.

Education:

• BEng / BSc in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Automation Engineering
• Relevant certifications in PLC/SCADA systems (advantageous)

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Strong experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar)
• Proven ability in SCADA systems and HMI development
• Experience with industrial automation, robotics, and process optimisation
• Solid understanding of control systems, sensors, and instrumentation
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, and ethernet/IP)
• Experience in commissioning, system upgrades, and troubleshooting
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and control schematics
• Exposure to Industry 4.0, IoT, or smart manufacturing (advantageous)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, mining, or heavy industrial environments
