Mechatronic Engineer (Graduate to Intermediate Level)

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechatronic systems
- Support automation, PLCs, sensors, and control systems in mining applications
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system faults
- Participate in underground inspections, installations, and system testing
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering and operations teams
- Ensure compliance with mining safety standards and regulations
Minimum Requirements:
- BEng / BSc / National Diploma in Mechatronic Engineering
- 0â3 yearsâ experience (graduates welcome)
- Willingness to work underground in a mining environment
- Basic understanding of automation, PLCs, and control systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Medically fit for underground work
Advantageous:
- Exposure to mining, heavy industry, or industrial automation
- PLC programming experience (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
- Knowledge of instrumentation and sensors
- Valid driverâs licence
