The suitable candidates main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage and oversee all security operations at the assigned site.
  • Ensure full compliance with PSIRA regulations, company policies, and client requirements.
  • Supervise and manage security personnel, including shift planning, discipline, performance management, and training.
  • Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Ensure proper access control, patrol procedures, and loss prevention measures are maintained.
  • Compile daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Maintain professional client relations and attend operational meetings when required.
  • Ensure all security equipment, registers, occurrence books, and compliance documentation are correctly maintained.
  • Manage emergency situations and coordinate responses effectively.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are upheld on site.

Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:

  • PSIRA Grade A registration (valid and up to date).
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the private security industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Site Manager or Operations supervisory role.
  • Valid South African drivers licence.
  • Clear criminal record.
  • Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and administrative skills.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Exel, incident reporting, email communication, and roster management).
  • Experience within warehouse, logistics, retail distribution centre, or industrial security environments will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the Private Security Industry Regulation Act and PSIRA compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage large teams professionally.
