Sales Engineer - Industrial Gears

A well-established engineering solutions provider is expanding its footprint across the African mining market and is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer with a strong background in industrial gearboxes, power transmission, or heavy mechanical equipment.
This role suits a technically strong sales professional who understands mining environments and is confident managing complex, long-cycle sales across borders.
Non-Negotiable Requirements- Proven experience in technical sales of industrial gear systems or similar mechanical equipment
- Strong exposure to the African mining sector (local and cross-border)
- Ability to engage confidently with engineers, maintenance teams, and mine management
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel extensively in Africa
- Selling industrial gear units, drives, power transmission or heavy mechanical solutions into mining or heavy industry
- Managing key accounts and developing new business across multiple African regions
- Providing technical input on equipment selection and application suitability
- Navigating long sales cycles, tenders, and project-based opportunities
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar (highly advantageous)
